The official saddle of The Pony Club. A range scaled to take children from their very first riding experience all the way through their pony riding years. The seat is shaped to help the rider develop an independent seat. Short panel design to fit short-backed ponies.
Five girthing position options to ensure saddle stability. This saddle would make a very nice child's show saddle as the flaps are cut relatively straight.

We have been making saddles at our workshop in the West Midlands for more than 25 years. Our skilled craftsmen are qualified Master Saddlers who use traditional saddle-making techniques to ensure each and every saddle is made with consistency, care, love and attention to detail.
A changeable gullet bar allows you or your saddle fitter to modify the width of the saddle’s gullet to suit the horse’s wither profile as the horse changes shape with either exercise, muscle development, maturity or rest. There are 8 options in the short S-bar and 7 in the long R-bar.
Wool is a natural fibre and provides superior softness and comfort for the horse because it moulds and settles quickly, giving optimum panel contact with the horse’s back. Two reinforced flocking slots make it easy for your saddle fitter to do any necessary adjustments to fit on-site.
Design know-how
Our in-house design team includes riders who have competed internationally, qualified saddle fitters, technical specialists and experienced horsemen. This unique combination of talent, expertise and experience allows us to produce saddles for horses and riders of every shape at every level.
The Kent & Masters Pony Club Saddle (and Pony Club Long Leg) offers the following FIVE girthing options to fine-tune the fit of your pony saddle.
Your saddle fitter will begin in the neutral position.
If the saddle slips forward the fitter has the option to use the point (first) strap and the third strap.
If the saddle is still unstable, the point (first) strap can be locked by threading it through the loop on the sweat flap.
If the problem is that the saddle lifts at the back, you can move the third strap to the floating balance ring.
The fifth option is to girth on the point strap and the floating balance ring.
NEVER girth using the point strap and the first strap. This will cause saddle instability and discomfort for your pony. |
Kent & Masters jump and GP saddles have either one or two moveable Velcro blocks that can be adjusted to suit the leg support your need. If you prefer to ride with shorter stirrups, or have short legs, position the knee block higher up.
